Reading Paranormal Society Home Page

We  educate others  to bring peace of mind to those who's lives are being interrupted by an unknown force. We bring a better understanding to people in our own dimension with what they may be experiencing and help those who have passed over to the next.

Feel free to roam around the site, and see what RPS has done and what the future holds for us as we pick up investigations.  Also, if anyone is here because they have witnessed paranormal activity that they feel should be investigated, please don't hesitate to visit our 'Contact' page to submit your e-mail to RPS.

Welcome to the Reading Paranormal Society

The Reading Paranormal Society is a team of individuals
from all walks of life, possessing a variety of skills with one common goal: investigating paranormal phenomenon. We do this by researching the history of an area, and by using current technology available to us ( including digital voice recorders for
EVPs, photographic and video evidence, electromagnetic field
(EMF) readings, and temperature fluctuation ) to collect data
and interpret our findings.

Come Join RPS on an Investigation For You: The Public!!!----(Update July 9, 2010---SOLD OUT!!!!)

With permission from the Historic Preservation Trust of Berks County, RPS is giving you, the people, an opportunity to join us on an investigation.  The investigation will take place at Jacob Keim Homestead in Lobachsville, PA, which is only a few miles from Oley.  Keim Homestead was built in 1753 and housed many generations of the Keim family for about 160 years.

The event is tentatively scheduled for Friday, August 6th, 2010.  The price of the night will be $25 per person. Cash only please!!!  Only 15 tickets will be sold for this event!! Half of your ticket price will directly be donated to the Historic Preservation Trust to help them cover energy and maintenance fees. We suggest that anyone under 18 who plans to attend, to please be accompanied by a parent or guardian.  For those that may miss out on the event this time, RPS is planning on holding at least one more event in the fall, probably sometime in October.

All people that have made prior arrangements to attend should meet at the homestead a few minutes before 8 p.m.  At 8 p.m., the members of RPS that are present will conduct a brief history presentation of the homestead.  Also, we will review all rules and guidelines for the night, give a brief background on our paranormal group, and discuss the importance of preserving such landmarks like Keim Homestead.  Also, we will discuss which route you can take to try to help out groups like the Historic Preservation Trust, either by donating your time or monetary funds.  From then on, the members of RPS present will take any further questions you may have.  After this, we will break into 3 groups: one group in the house, workshop, and barn.  Each investigatory session will last 45 minutes to an hour, and you will visit each building once during the night.

Bring whatever tools you have to aid your investigation.  Digital cameras, camcorders, voice recorders, dowsing rods, ghost boxes, EMF meters, and K2 meters are all acceptable tools.

3 General Rules to Remember for the Investigation:

1.) NO OUJIA BOARDS: they are bad news--- anyone who brings one will be asked to leave.  This is not an investigation tool, but a portal to demonic entities that you do not want to associate with.

2.) NO PROVOKING: From EVPS from prior investigations, some of the spirits at Keim Homestead seem to be easily agitated.  Please do not provoke the spirits that live there.  They will make their presence known if they feel the need.

3.) PLEASE STAY OUT OF RESTRICTED AREAS: Certain areas of the house are in dire need of repair and should be avoided at all cost.  Your group leaders from RPS will show you what spots to stay away from.

For Anyone Who Plans to Attend This Event:

Please reserve your ticket to the event one of two ways:

1.) Go to our 'Contact' page and submit a form with your name, phone number, address, e-mail address, and include how many tickets you want in the notes section of the form.
